d2h Smart Remote App

d2h Smart Remote is a Smart Mobile App which connects with your Videocon d2h Set Top Box either through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or IR (Infra Red). With IR, the app can be used with any d2h Set Top Box (STB). Please note that for Bluetooth connectivity, the d2h Bluetooth dongle has to be connected to your Set Top Box. In some d2h STBs like the 5555, the App can connect over Wi-Fi. In such cases, your Smartphone and the d2h STB have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. App provides the following functionalities:

Convert your smart phone into a remote

-Change channels, increase/decrease volume, and so on...

-The quick zap mode allows you to browse channel logos by genre. Just tap on a logo to change to that channel!

• Browse Program Guide

-In the Quick Zap mode, press and hold a channel logo to browse through the Program Guide for that channel.

· Voice Based Search

Now, you can search by speaking out the search criterion

Search is performed in the Program Guide and also in the Video collection available for Mobile Casting

• Media Casting from Mobile to STB (available only with Wi-Fi Connectivity)

You can cast videos from your mobile onto your Videocon STB and watch on TV:

1. You can play videos from mobile Video Apps like YouTube etc on TV - while playing a video, share with "d2h Smart Remote" to watch on TV

2. You can share Audio/Video/images stored locally in your mobile's memory, from Apps like "Gallery"

3. Just tap on a thumbnail in the Videocon Cast page, and you can watch on TV! For the Videocon Cast page, swipe repeatedly at the Videocon d2h logo at the bottom of the d2h Smart Remote App screen.

• Mobile Notifications on TV (available only with BT Connectivity)

-As long as your Smartphone is connected to your d2h STB, you can get all Mobile Notifications of Facebook updates, missed call alerts, new message alerts, etc. on the TV.

-A Yellow button is displayed on the TV screen whenever there is a Notification, on pressing the Yellow button of the d2h STB remote for details.

• Audio Streaming to and from your d2h STB (available only with BT Connectivity)

-Connect your smart phone with the STB through Bluetooth and enjoy seamless audio streaming

-Play audio from your Smartphone and listen to it on TV Speakers!

-Plug an earphone into your mobile and listen to the d2h STB audio privately.

-Now, Select "d2h Smart Remote" from the list of Apps

• Social Networking

-While watching a program on Live TV, post an event on your Facebook Timeline, stating that you are watching that program.

• Finding your phone (available only with BT Connectivity)

-You can locate your Smartphone misplaced somewhere inside your home, if it is connected with the d2h STB through the d2h Smart Remote App.

-All you have to do is press Menu on the d2h STB remote and select Connectivity > Find my Phone option, and your phone will ring giving away its location!

Important things you should know

• The d2h Smart Remote App is available for Videocon d2h Users only

• While the App supports basic remote functions with IR, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, some features (as described above) compulsorily require BT or Wi-Fi available on only select models of Videocon d2h STBs

• Bluetooth connectivity is made available to some d2h STB models through a d2h Bluetooth Dongle accessory. After purchasing dongle, user needs to call the customer care to upgrade the d2h STB software to enable connectivity and subsequently for the App to function.

• In case of Bluetooth Connectivity, features like Media Sharing can be possible only with the help of a USB hub on which both the d2h Bluetooth Dongle and the USB storage (to store shared content) have to be connected.

• Videocon d2h does not sell the USB hub and can be purchased from the market.

• Usage of the application is free. However the user should bear the data charges for downloading the App from Google Play Store.

Mit IR kann die App mit jeder d2h Set Top Box (STB) verwendet werden. Bitte beachten Sie, dass für Bluetooth-Verbindungen der d2h Bluetooth-Dongle mit Ihrer Set-Top-Box verbunden sein muss. In einigen d2h STBs wie dem 5555 kann die App über WLAN verbinden. In solchen Fällen müssen Ihr Smartphone und die d2h STB mit demselben WLAN-Netzwerk verbunden sein. • Programmführer durchsuchen

- Halten Sie im Quick Zap-Modus ein Kanallogo gedrückt, um durch den Programmführer für diesen Kanal zu blättern.

· Sprachbasierte Suche

Jetzt können Sie suchen, indem Sie das Suchkriterium aussprechen

Die Suche wird im Programmhandbuch und in der für Mobile Casting verfügbaren Videosammlung durchgeführt

• Mediencasting von Mobile zu STB (nur mit Wi-Fi-Konnektivität verfügbar)

Sie können Videos von Ihrem Handy auf Ihre Videocon STB übertragen und im Fernsehen ansehen:

1. Sie können Videos von mobilen Video-Apps wie YouTube usw. auf dem Fernsehgerät wiedergeben. Während Sie ein Video abspielen, teilen Sie es mit "d2h Smart Remote", um es im Fernsehen anzusehen

2. Sie können Audio / Video / Bilder, die lokal im Speicher Ihres Handys gespeichert sind, von Apps wie "Galerie" teilen

3. Tippe einfach auf ein Thumbnail auf der Videocon Cast-Seite und du kannst im Fernsehen schauen! Für die Videocon Cast-Seite streichen Sie wiederholt über das Videocon d2h-Logo am unteren Rand des d2h Smart Remote App-Bildschirms.

• Mobile Benachrichtigungen auf dem Fernseher (nur mit BT Connectivity verfügbar)

- Solange Ihr Smartphone mit Ihrer d2h STB verbunden ist, können Sie alle mobilen Benachrichtigungen von Facebook-Updates, verpassten Anrufbenachrichtigungen, neuen Nachrichtenbenachrichtigungen usw. auf dem Fernseher empfangen.

- Wenn eine Benachrichtigung auf dem Fernsehbildschirm erscheint, wird eine gelbe Taste angezeigt, wenn Sie die gelbe Taste der d2h STB-Fernbedienung drücken, um weitere Einzelheiten zu erfahren.

• Audio-Streaming zu und von Ihrer d2h STB (nur mit BT Connectivity verfügbar)

- Verbinden Sie Ihr Smartphone mit der STB über Bluetooth und genießen Sie nahtloses Audio-Streaming

Spielen Sie Audio von Ihrem Smartphone und hören Sie es auf TV-Lautsprecher!

- Stecken Sie einen Kopfhörer in Ihr Mobiltelefon und hören Sie sich das d2h STB-Audio privat an.

-Wählen Sie nun "d2h Smart Remote" aus der Liste der Apps

• Soziales Netzwerk

-Während Sie ein Programm auf Live-TV ansehen, veröffentlichen Sie eine Veranstaltung auf Ihrer Facebook-Timeline, in der Sie angeben, dass Sie dieses Programm sehen.

• Suchen nach Ihrem Telefon (nur mit BT Connectivity verfügbar)

- Sie können Ihr Smartphone irgendwo in Ihrem Haus verlegen, wenn es mit der d2h STB über die d2h Smart Remote App verbunden ist.

- Drücken Sie einfach Menü auf der d2h STB-Fernbedienung und wählen Sie Konnektivität> Mein Telefon finden. Ihr Telefon klingelt und verlost seinen Standort!

Wichtige Dinge, die Sie wissen sollten

• Die d2h Smart Remote App ist nur für Benutzer von Videocon d2h verfügbar

• Während die App grundlegende Remote-Funktionen mit IR-, Bluetooth- und Wi-Fi-Konnektivität unterstützt, erfordern einige Funktionen (wie oben beschrieben) obligatorisch BT oder Wi-Fi, die nur bei bestimmten Modellen von Videocon d2h STBs verfügbar sind

• Bluetooth-Konnektivität wird einigen d2h STB-Modellen über ein d2h Bluetooth Dongle-Zubehör zur Verfügung gestellt. Nach dem Kauf des Dongles muss der Benutzer den Kundendienst anrufen, um die d2h STB-Software zu aktualisieren, damit die Verbindung hergestellt werden kann und die App anschließend funktioniert.

• Im Fall von Bluetooth-Konnektivität können Funktionen wie die Medienfreigabe nur mit Hilfe eines USB-Hubs ausgeführt werden, an den sowohl der d2h Bluetooth Dongle als auch der USB-Speicher (zum Speichern von gemeinsam genutzten Inhalten) angeschlossen werden müssen.

• Videocon d2h verkauft den USB-Hub nicht und kann vom Markt gekauft werden.

• Die Nutzung der Anwendung ist kostenlos. Der Nutzer sollte jedoch die Datengebühren für den Download der App aus dem Google Play Store tragen.
